During a recent visit, the Onwukwe Foundation engaged with healthcare workers to better understand the realities faced within their facility.

What we heard was deeply concerning.

Many patients remain in the hospital not because they are still undergoing treatment,but because they cannot afford to pay their medical bills.

Some have been there for over two years. Others, including accident victims, are in urgent need of life-saving surgeries they simply cannot afford.

These are not just statistics. These are real people,families, breadwinners and individuals whose lives are on hold due to financial constraints.

At Onwukwe Foundation, we believe no one should be denied care or delayed recovery because of cost.
