In the spirit of service and unity, the Ndi Okoro Health Outreach was successfully organized by the Onwukwe Foundation USA under the leadership of Doctor Onwukwe, with the generous support of Pharm. and Pharm. Mrs. Ike Okorafor Avonta. The outreach was carried out under the leadership of Ezi Udo Ndi Okoro, Mazi Uddy Nwosu, to commemorate Ndi Okoro Day on 27th December 2025.
This medical outreach to Ndi Okoro is one of the many developmental initiatives the Ezi Udo envisions bringing to his people, with the support of the indigenous sons and daughters of Ndi Okoro, Obinkita Village , Arochukwu .
It reflects a shared commitment to improving the welfare and quality of life of the people within the Ndi Okoro Clan .
Beyond healthcare, several other departments and units have been outlined as part of the broader development agenda.
These include, but are not limited to: Education, Building and Infrastructure, Projects, Youth and Women Empowerment, Orientation and Enlightenment, Culture and Tradition, and Diaspora Affairs. These units are expected to gradually take full shape in the course of 2026.
The health outreach commenced in the morning, with full medical setup completed by 9:00 a.m. Villagers began arriving from 10:00 a.m., and medical services continued steadily until late evening on the same day. Speaking during the outreach, the CEO of the Onwukwe Foundation Doctor Onwukwe stated that providing quality healthcare to his people has long been one of his dreams, especially at a time when the cost of medical treatment in the country has risen significantly.
Beneficiaries received comprehensive medical check-ups, including tests, consultations, and prescriptions. Individuals with serious medical conditions were referred to the US-built hospital in Arochukwu for further evaluation and treatment, while others were advised to return for follow-up assessments and medication refills as needed.
During the outreach, several critical health conditions were identified. Some women were found to have dangerously high blood pressure readings above 200/100, without prior knowledge of the risks involved, Others were newly diagnosed with diabetes , while some came to refill prescriptions given to them before .
All affected individuals received appropriate medical attention, counseling and treatment.
At the conclusion of the outreach, leftover medications were donated by the Onwukwe Foundation and Pham and Pham Ikem Okorafor Avanta to the US Hospital in Arochukwu, further extending the impact of the program to the wider community within the kingdom.
Doctor Onwukwe also said that they also mentor young doctors just coming out school with interest to build their career and will love to extend it to any Arochukwu young doctor.
